Vietnam's local phone retailer listed as one of Asia' s leading big public companies

Forbes has just unveiled top 50 leading big public companies in the Asia-Pacific region in 2017 and honoured Vietnam’s local phone retailer The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World Investment).

This Asia’s leading prestigious retail prize selected businesses basing on their revenue, growth, retail space and the number of shops. provides trading, repair, and maintenance services of phones, cameras, household appliances, and information technology, digital, and electronic equipment. The company was founded on January 16, 2009 by tai Duc Nguyen, Quan Le Tran and Hai Trieu Chinh Dieu, and is headquartered in Binh Duong, Vietnam.
MobileWorld Investment Corporation operates under two distribution formats: the thegioididong.com which means Mobile World, and “dienmay” which means Consumer Electronics.
Over the past years the Company has been continuously growing despite the not favorable macroeconomic conditions.
 With the market cap of $1.5 Billion, The Thegioididong.com format is currently distributing digital mobile devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and accessories) in the all 63 cities and provinces of Vietnam, through a network of more than 800 stores. The first store was launched in 2004.
MobileWorld has been awarded with several international prizes by prestigious organizations, including The Global Growth Enterprise by the World Economic Forum, the Top 5 Fastest Growth Retailer in Asia – Pacific 2010 by Euromonitor International, and the Top 500 Retailers in Asia-Pacific by Retail Asia magazine for 6 consecutive years (2010-2015).
