The newcomer in the Vietnam aviation market will provide private jet management and air charter services and sightseeing flights using helicopters and seaplanes with international-standard quality.
In the third quarter of 2022, the airline will operate two Gulfstream G650ER jets and its fleet would be added four Gulfstream G650ER, one Gulfstream G700, one helicopter and two seaplanes in the 2023-2025 period.
Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group, said the launch of the airline is part of its sustainable development roadmap, adding a new product to its high-quality ecosystem and contributing to opening up the development of the luxury segment in the aviation market.
The airline also plans to operate ultra-large and ultra-long jets such as Boeing BBJ and Airbus ACJ in the future. It is working with leading brands such as Agusta, Airbus, Sikorsky, De Havilland Canada, Cessna, and Textron to provide safe and extraordinary experiences to customers.
The latest report released in 2021 by Honeywell, a major manufacturer of aircraft components, forecasted demand for private business jet travel is expected to grow over the next decade as wealthier travelers migrate to more exclusive modes of travel, extending a trend that proliferated during the Covid-19 pandemic. Operators in the business aviation sector are expected to take delivery of 7,400 new jets worth $238bn from 2022 to 2031.
As of December 31, 2021, there are six main commercial airlines in Vietnam including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, VASCO, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines. In addition, four businesses are operating in the general aviation industry, namely Vietstar Airline, Green Planet Aiwarys JSC, Vietnam Helicopter Corporation and Hai Au Aviation JSC.
