Year to June 15, the country's trade revenue stood at US$204.72 billion, representing an increase of 13.2% or US$23.86 billion from the same period last year.

Specifically, Vietnam exported US$9.51 billion worth of goods in the first half of June, down 14.4% or US$1.6 billion month-on-month. In total, Vietnam's export turnover as of June 15 jumped to US$103.79 billion, increasing 16.6% or US$14.81 billion against the corresponding period of 2017.
Compared to the second half of May, Vietnam's exports in the first half of June saw declines in some groups of merchandise. Among them, shipments of phones and accessories were down 16.5%, machinery and equipment down 27.9%, transport vehicles and parts down 29%, and footwear down 12.7%,.
Meanwhile, the country imported US$9.48 billion worth of goods in the first half of June, down 10.8% or US$1.15 billion compared to the last 15 days in May.
By the end of June 15, Vietnam's total import turnover reached US$100.93 billion, up 9.8% or US$9.05 billion year-on-year. Among Vietnam's imports, some import commodities witnessed decreases, including computers, electronics and accessories down 26.6%, machinery and parts down 6.5%, and pharmaceutical products down 46.6%.
