Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022 to organize in October

The forum is held every two years in Vietnam, helping food manufacturers and processors promote their products and connect with domestic and international businesses.

Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022- the biggest exhibition in Vietnam and Indochina covering the total latest solutions for the food, livestock, aquaculture, and meat processing sectors will make a comeback after a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Being endorsed and hosted by the Livestock Production Department - Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development (MARD), the event will take place from October 12 to 14 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the organizer, the exhibition is where the industry professionals involved in the farm-to-fork value chain for livestock products meet up and form a huge community to share and create new business opportunities, partnerships, ideas, and solutions.

Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022 expects to attract 170 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, of which, there will be around 90 international and 80 Vietnamese brands, namely Famsun, Big Herdsman, Pigtek, Big Dutchman, De Heus, Thuan Nhat Automation, among others.

Tong Xuan Chinh, Deputy Director of the Livestock Production Department assessed that Vietstock contributes to the modernization of the livestock industry at all stages in the production process, especially for meat, egg, and milk products.

“Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022 gives all industry partners a valuable opportunity to exchange and cooperate in order to fulfill the mission of providing and ensuring food security for nearly 100 million Vietnamese people and exporting,” he stated.

According to him, many Vietnamese producers have already exported their milk, honey and poultry to demanding international markets. He assessed technology is “key” to the success of manufacturing enterprises in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.

“Farms, cooperatives and breeding households should consider making more contact and absorbing advanced technology for modernizing the production”, he said.

Rungphec Chitanuwat, Informa Market’s Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN region, believes that Vietnam’s livestock industry should develop towards organic farming, livestock waste controlling, and making full use of post-breeding products.

“Technology helps create superior conditions for livestock to grow and increase productivity and quality of livestock. Waste treatment and making full use of livestock products will help protect the environment and bring sustainable development to the local livestock industry,” she added.

She also informed at Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022, Waste-to-Energy Pavilion for the first time will be launched. It is a new feature with the emphasis on Biogas & Biomass technologies being applied to farming & livestock sectors, aligning with the Sustainable Development Strategy of the country.

Vietstock Awards 2022 which is held alongside with Vietstock Expo & Forum 2022, is the prestigious awards hosted and approved by the Livestock Production Department to honor all enterprises, organizations as well as cooperatives that have made positive and meaningful contributions to the overall development of Vietnam's livestock industry.
