Nexttel, a wholly owned subsidiary of leading information and technology giant Viettel Group in the Republic of Cameroon in Central Africa, has celebrated a remarkable milestone with the welcoming of its two millionth mobile phone customer after only nine months of operations.
As of the end of May, Nexttel, formerly known as Viettel Cameroon, has reached the 2 millionth customer plateau with total revenue reaching 29 million USD cumulative to date.
With a 1,100 Base Transceiver Station (BTS), Nexttel has taken the lead in providing 3G mobile internet in Cameroon and is working towards expanding its coverage and reaching its three millionth subscriber later this year.
