Visitors will enjoy free entrance to Khai Tuong Lau showroom in An Dinh palace, a tourist attraction in the Hue Imperial City, from January 20 to March 3, according to the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre.

Covering around 23.5 sq.m on the waterfront of An Cuu river, An Dinh palace is a bold illustration of the harmonious combination between Western and Eastern architectural styles.
It was built in 1917 by King Khai Dinh. His son, Prince Vinh Thuy, who later became King Bao Dai - the last King of Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945), and his family lived in the palace between 1945 and 1955.

Visitors to the site are free to explore its beautiful architecture but also learn more about the living space of King Bao Dai and royal members through over 40 photos, 100 original objects and 30 documents on display at Khai Tuong Lau showroom.
The display is the outcome of cooperation between the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and cultural researcher Nguyen Dac Xuan.
Earlier in 2003, the German Embassy in Vietnam provided assistance to restore six wall paintings in Khai Tuong Lau.
