The Southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on August 7 announced its programs in response to the Viet Nam-Japan Friendship Year celebrating the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

The activities will take place from August 17-25, including cultural exchanges, a competition on Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic relations in 40 years, and a gathering of Japanese and Vietnamese families.
There are a Workshop on “Solutions to attract Japanese tourists to Ba Ria - Vung Tau”; a Photo exhibition “Viet Nam - Japan, Ba Ria Vung Tau - Kawasaki: country and people”; and a Workshop to attract investment from Japan into the province
These aim to tighten the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries; promote investment, trade and tourism of Japanese enterprises and localities into the host province; and popularize the province’s images and people to Japanese people and the world.
