VNA opens new route from Hanoi to Tokyo

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines inaugural flight of a new international direct air route linking Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Haneda Airport in Tokyo lifted off on July 1.

The new Hanoi-Haneda daily flight departs at 8.00am each day from Noi Bai international airport.

Initially the airline will use Airbus A321 aircraft.

The airline currently conducts daily flights on 9 international air routes connecting Vietnam to Japan.

In 2012, Haneda Airport welcomed nearly 67 million passengers, becoming the 4th busiest airport across the globe and 2nd largest in the Asian region.
