E-ticket and e-receipt systems of the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) will be officially launched from September 1.
According to the VNR, this is the second phase of an ongoing e-ticket sale project jointly implemented by the VNR and FPT Group since November last year.
Under the project, travellers are able to complete online bookings and select types of tickets, seats and schedules for all trains.
They can also make online payments, get e-receipts and print the tickets out themselves without having to go to the stations.
With ticket details sent to their emails or by mobile text messages matching the personal information on their identity cards, passengers only need to show their train e-ticket numbers and identity cards to be eligible to board the train, instead paper tickets as before.
For more details, travellers can visit www.dsvn.vn, www.vietnamrailway.vn, and www.vetau.com.vn.
