Sapa in Lao Cai province in Vietnam has been listed among the 50 places that you need to visit at least once in your lifetime, according to a list released by Vogue, a Australia magazine.
“Hidden in the mountains of Vietnam, a trip to Sapa is like entering a far, far away land from the bustling streets of Hanoi,” Vogue wrote.
Francesca Wallace, assistant digital editor of Vogue, advises travelers that the natural beauty of Sapa will take away the breath of even the most seasoned of travelers. Oia (Kikladhes, Greece) tops the list, followed by Rome (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Sydney (Australia), Havana (Cuba), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Paris (France), Zanzibar (Tanzania), Venice (Italy), etc.

Sapa welcomed nearly 1.5 million visitors in the first eleven months of 2017, of which more than 30% were international tourists. In 2016, there were 1.2 million visitors to the hill town, according to the Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
