Why Phu Quoc will be the next big MICE destination?

Featuring the untouched white sand of Bai Khem beach, idyllic sunsets, breathtaking scenery and favorable weather year-round, Phu Quoc is the emerging star of Vietnam’s tourism scene.

Travel Daily Media, a fast-growing online community dedicated to informing, connecting, and developing the world’s travel industry professionals, has listed five reasons why Phu Quoc will be the next big meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions (MICE) destination.

Phu Quoc island, Kien Giang province, Vietnam.

A balance between the established and the secluded, the area is a national park, the hotel itself is a destination are a few of the reasons the article gives Phu Quoc visitors to take an adventure trip.
The writer suggested Phu Quoc is much less-traveled than many of the places nearby, it remains a hidden gem and a true Vietnam experience, with a rich cultural and natural heritage to explore, but it is quickly adding facilities and infrastructure of the highest level, slowly carving its rightful place among Asia’s top beach resorts.
Phu Quoc’s national park is another reason the website provided. Phu Quoc Island is one of 105 islands in the Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve, as designated by UNESCO in 2006. Its maritime equatorial and monsoon climate, and high levels of coral reefs, help to create an abundance of fish and marine life.
Up until recently, the local beaches, trimmed with limestone and karst forests plus mangroves, were nesting sites of Hawksbill turtles. Yet no nesting has taken place in recent years – although the seagrass beds are known to be important for foraging turtles.
In addition, the government is working hard to promote the destination in general as well as  meetings and events in Phu Quoc, and offer it support – much like Phuket in Thailand 30 years ago.
All nationalities now qualify for a visa exemption for a period of up to 30 days and the region is part of a Special Administrative Region scheme, as denoted by the Vietnamese government. That means that if you have a connecting flight through Hanoi you still do not need a visa.
Earlier, Phu Quoc island, offshore Vietnam's southernmost province of Kien Giang, has been ranked 4th among 10 super cool vacation spots that are on the rise to be one of the most popular places to visit in 2019, according to a list released by The Travel, among the world’s most interesting sites for travel tips, guides, and facts.
When tourists are looking for a quiet beach vacation, they often don’t look to Vietnam to find their paradise. But Phu Quoc is made up of 28 islands that are uninhabited or used for private resorts.
According to The Travel, the sand in Phu Quoc is soft and white, the beaches are serene, silent, without being overloaded by tourists. “These islands are warm year-round boasting an average of 80 degrees. The best part is that luxury hotels are being built on these islands, making it a go-to spot for tourists looking for a new sunny place to vacation,” The Travel wrote.
