This is one of the five airlines this year to connect Hanoi with Chinese cities, including Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, and Vietjet Air, proving that Hanoi remains a safe and appealing destination for foreign airlines.
The event also marked the launch of a new route between Hanoi and Xiamen, a tourist city in Fujian Province.
The Chinese carrier will operate the Xiamen - Hanoi route with a frequency of four return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
At the end of this month, one carrier will resume flights to China after Covid-19, and another will open a new route between Hanoi and Hong Kong (China).
Starlux Airlines, the airline of Taiwan (China), started its regular international route to Hanoi in January 2023.
With the presence of Xiamen Airlines, Noi Bai International Airport currently hosts 58 domestic and foreign airlines, connecting the city to 59 international and 18 domestic destinations.
Approximately 200 flights and 27,000 passengers depart or arrive at Noi Bai International Airport every day.
