Young people throughout the country have actively participated in the practical activities launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) at all levels, in order to raise funds and promote good deeds among the community.
More than 5,000 youths, including staff from the FPT Corporation, famous artists and the U23 Vietnam players joined a fund raising walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake on March 11.
They also participated in flash mob performances to raise funds for building playgrounds for children and presented gifts to passers-by in order to bring joy to the community and inspire people to commit good deeds.
The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Vietnam National Volunteer Centre (VVC), and FPT Corporation in response to the Good Deeds Day movement and the Youth Month 2018.
In addition, the FPT staff in 63 provinces and cities nationwide also launched other voluntary activities including repairing social houses for disadvantaged people and blood donations, with the target of collecting 1,300 units of blood.
On the occasion, VVC and FPT signed a cooperation agreement on the implementation of social welfare activities in 2018.
The Good Deeds Day movement was launched by the VVC in 2017 with the aim of inspiring the community to do good deeds for a better society.
