Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Chi Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Traffic Works Investment and Construction Project Management Board, said the Chua Boc - Pham Ngoc Thach flyover is an important project aimed at easing traffic congestion at one of the capital's busiest intersections.
"This flyover is very important as it aims to improve traffic at the Chua Boc - Pham Ngoc Thach - Ton That Tung - Dong Tac intersection. It will also help reduce congestion and improve vehicle accessibility in the area," Cuong said.
He added that the flyover is made of assembled steel structures with a total length of 318 meters and a width of nine meters.
Cuong said it forms a curved flyover facilitating two-way traffic for cars and motorcycles.

"This is the first curved steel flyover structurally built in Hanoi," he added. "In the next phase, a ramp will be added when the Ton That Tung Road extension is completed as planned. This branch will connect Ton That Tung Road to Pham Ngoc Thach Street, forming a Y-bridge."
Cuong explained that the curved bridge structure is located at a central intersection in Dong Da District, with a high density of universities, trade centers, and services.
"The completion of the flyover project, complemented by a modern decorative lighting system, will help create a remarkable architectural highlight that fits into the landscape of the intersection area," he continued.
