The second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is expected to bring about something that help set up sustainable peace for the Korean Peninsula and the whole world.
Is it possible to have an end for the war on the peninsula instead of the ceasefire agreement that has lasted for more than six decades? Let’s see what people around the world expect from this event. The main purpose of the declaration of the end of the war was to undermine the importance of the existence of the US military in Korea and reduction of the US nuclear role in the Eastern Pole. In the event that North Korea delays the implementation of a ballistic missile-discharge commitment, including nuclear and medium-range missiles, tension between the US, Korea and Japan and Korea will increase.
North Korea has therefore recognized that it has a great responsibility for peace and security in East Asia and would like to attend this second conference. Meanwhile, the basic principle of Japan is always in line with national security in order to avoid new conflicts.

No other concessions have been made by North Korea. I believe this is due to Pyongyang’s desire to bargain for the most advantageous conditions for itself and get on the Americans’ nerves until the very last moment so that the DPRK leader himself could make some concessions at the meeting.

The second would potentially be a “bad peace” scenario, if the US leader decides to significantly reduce the number of US troops in South Korea in response to the denuclearization promise (currently there are 28,500 American soldiers there).

He disengages US from many conflict scenes. I see obvious reasons like surrounding China with US friends and military bases, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, but also for a huge communication campaign introducing himself as a peace protector in the word. That can explain this train trip of Kim in China before to reach Vietnam, because I think China is aware since the economic war they start together.
For the Kim side, we all know that even if he want, he cannot completely change his policy, economy and government system just because he met Trump, but maybe few changes because finally, because of this summit. Trump gives him an occasion to be considered by the international community.
Finally I feel little ironies as never very peaceful countries making a peace summit but US and North Korea... Nations don’t have friends or enemies, they have interests.
To be very honest I expect lot of declarations, promises and hands shaking. But in facts, I'll be really surprised if anything unless tensions become after it.
Peace is something to build, to keep, and even to fight for.

The second Trump-Kim summit is closely watched by whole world in order to preserve peace in Korean peninsula. The world’s youngest nuke superpower after achieving its main goal is ready to focus on North Korean economy and well-being of its people. And this will be surely one of main topics of the Summit. Harsh US sanction are still effective and paralize North Koreans economy. I believe Trump is ready to ease those sanctions in exchange for stepping off the nuke program. Both parties can benefit from finding common ground.

It is an important event for South Korea. However, I personally do not believe that Kim Jong Un will give up nuclear weapons, because nuke is the only asset that enables North Korea to sustain its weakening kingdom. Kim Jong Un’s strategy is to buy some time to develop more nuclear weapons and eventually threaten South Korea to move out the US troops.
