The Voting Dance

Hanoi students dance to promote 15th National Assembly and People’s Council elections.

Hanoi students have actively engaged in the communication campaign for the upcoming election with creative activities, one of which is a funky dance titled “The Voting Dance”.

After only a few hours of being uploaded on Youtube, the joyous dance called “The Voting Dance” which is performed by students from the People's Police Academy had gone viral, with hundreds of likes, comments and shares.

According to Lac Chung Hieu, the resentative of the dance troupe, the dance was made in response to the campaign titled ‘I Go Voting’ which was launched by the Central Youth Union in collaboration with Vietnam Television.

The campaign is aimed at promoting  the elections of the 15th National Assembly and People’s Council at all levels, term of 2021-2026, that will take place on May 23.

“As students of the People's Police Academy, we wish to express our interests about the election as well as giving a hand to spread the meaning of the polls to the community,” Hieu said.

“In order to ensure the compliance of regulations of Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, each of the students practiced the dance separately at his/her own room. Then they wear face-mask for group dance to film in the schoolyard,” he added.

The clip was recorded at the schoolyard of the People's Police Academy.

Pham Thanh, a student from Hanoi said that “The Voting Dance” is a creative way to communicate about the election to young people, encouraging them to go to the polls and elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Council at all-levels, term of 2021-2026.
