Vietnam to develop spam management system for mobile user

In Hanoi, today May 18, Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) under the Ministry of Information and Communication and GAPIT Communications JSC signed the Memorandum of Understanding in implementing and deploying a spam alert and management system.

The Hanoitimes - In Hanoi, today May 18, Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) under the Ministry of Information and Communication and GAPIT Communications JSC signed the Memorandum of Understanding in implementing and deploying a spam alert and management system.

The system provide anti-spam service which allows mobile users to send VNCERT a spam report easily, promptly, and free. By tracking and aggregating the reports, VNCERT will have necessary actions to sotp spam messages o­n the mobile networks in the country.

GAPIT will provide the know-how, infrastructure, human resources, design and solution for the system.
Director of VNCERT, Mr Vu Quoc Khanh said: “In our vision for implementing the anti – spam Decree 90/2008/ ND- CP, this system will be an accurate and sufficient source of information o­n the generation of spam in Vietnam through crowd-sourcing, which is very helpful for VNCERT’s activities for tracking and preventing spam. We will be responsible for the cooperation of all relating parties to deploy the system as soon as possible”.

The two sides hope that this effective anti-spam measure with create a healthy environment for mobile advertisements in Vietnam.
