3 Vietnamese students win the gold medal at Informatics Olympiad
According to a report from the Ministry of Education and Training on May 19, Vietnamese students won 3 gold medals at the 2015 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad held online by Indonesia on May 10 and 11.
At the 2015 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, six Vietnamese students won three golds, two silvers, and a bronze.
The three Vietnamese students who scored 300 out of 300 to win the gold medal are 11th or 12th graders Nguyen Tien Trung Kien, Nguyen Viet Dung, and Phan Duc Nhat Minh, all from the High School of Natural Science of the Hanoi-based National University.
Twelfth graders at the High School of Natural Science Do Ngoc Khanh and Pham Van Hanh won the two silver medals.
Vu Phuc Hoang from the High School for Gifted Students under the Hanoi Teacher Training College won the bronze medal.
This has been Vietnam 's best result at the Olympiad since 2013. Last year, the Vietnamese team won six silver medals at the competition.
