4,000 athletes to participate in the Ho Chi Minh International Marathon 2017
The Techcombank Ho Chi Minh city International Marthon is a sporting event held by Ho Chi Minh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Athletics Federation Ho Chi Minh city.
More than 4,000 athletes are expected to participate in this sporting event.

The event is expected to attract 4,000 athletes from 44 countries and region in the world. As such, the event will take place from November 24 – 26. Runners will have three distances to choose from when participating in this historic event: 42km, 21km and 10 km. This new marathon will start at the historic Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden, follow a route past key Ho Chi Minh City landmarks, through districts 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, Binh Thanh and streets such as Dong Khoi, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Hue, Vo Van Kiet, Rach Cay bridge, Calmette bridge, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Huu Canh, Thu Thiem bridge, Nguyen Co Thanh, before finishing in the new urban area of Thu Thiem.
Runners participating in the inaugural Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon will experience a unique course that pays homage to the city’s rich history and culture while unveiling the dramatic changes taking place as the city embraces its exciting and dynamic future. Techcombank, the main sponsor of the Ho Chi Minh International Marathon 2017 will donate 10,000 VND per 1 km for each athletes passing the finish line for the Fund for the Poor.
