Delegates said the amended law has made significant advances as there is no cap placed on investors limiting them from doing business if their investment areas are not listed as prohibited on the investment list.
Many foreign investors expressed hope that if the law was to be approved by the National Assembly, it would create favourable conditions for foreign investors to enter Vietnam. Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Alfonso Tena said foreign investment has played an important role in accelerating economic development in Vietnam, which is a major market for Spain.
The expansion of investment in Vietnam in the future would open up cooperative opportunities in many fields among the two nations, Tena added.
Vietnam has opened doors for investment by improving the business climate and creating best conditions for investors and simplifying customs and investment formalities, said the ambassador.
