Under the agreement, An Thai Hung will import traditional medicines and cosmetics produced by Charak Pharma for sale in Vietnam.

Charak Pharma will sell herb products and traditional medicines made by An Thai Hung to Indian consumers.

Le Ngoc Hue, Chairman and CEO of An Thai Hung Group, said Vietnam and India share similar natural and environmental conditions for herb planting.

The Indian Government sees traditional medicine as a key industry to improve people’s health, boost the export of services, promote India as a destination of healthcare tourism, and improve the nation’s economic and diplomatic relations, he said.

The partnership agreement will allow the two companies to learn how to increase the added value of traditional herb production and benefit the people, Hue added.

An Thai Hung is a pioneer company developing a traditional herb farm in a supply chain from planting to production and marketing.

In recent years, aware of the potential of planting herbs with unlimited passion, Hue wants to preserve and develop Vietnamese traditional medicine and promote the business among international communities.

For its part, the Indian company Charak Pharma has 75 years of experience producing traditional medicine. The company is one of the world's leading producers of traditional medicine.
