“Vietnam Ao Dai Week” launched to celebrate International Women's Day
For the first time, the “Ao Dai connecting Hanoi Tourism and Heritage” program is an unforgettable event for Vietnamese and foreign travelers as they ride through local streets in an Autumn morning and discover the unique beauty of Hanoi.
The first-ever "Ao Dai Connects Tourism and Heritage 2023" program took place on September 1, one of the activities to celebrate National Day and stimulate tourism, promoting Hanoi’s landmarks.
Vietnamese Ao dai is a special dress with a long history that suits Vietnamese women of all ages. The dress's hypnotic charm has also won foreign friends' hearts through domestic and international fashion shows.
The costume has been regarded as a great work of art, a national beauty, and a symbol of Vietnamese women's identity and spirit. Because of such great significance, Vietnamese women usually wear Ao dai on important occasions.
The cultural event was attended by more than 100 people, both men and women. Photos: Khanh Huy/The Hanoi Times |
