The ABA 2020 awards will honor businesses in the ASEAN and will be a great motivation for them to continue promoting their creative spirit, building new directions of development in accordance with economic conditions post-pandemic.
This is the second time Vietnam holds ABA and Madame Nguyen Thi Nga chairs the award. Previously on 2010, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga also had tremendous contribution to the success and reputation of this award.
At an session between the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) and the leaders of the bloc’s countries within the framework of the 36th ASEAN Summit, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga reported to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and leaders of the ASEAN that ABA 2020 will honor the bloc’s businesses for their outstanding contribution to prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic regionwide.
Speaking at the event, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga said: “2020 is a special year for global businesses in general and ASEAN businesses in particular at a time when the Covid -19 pandemic has brought tremendous negative impacts. However, this is also the time when the best enterprises show their bravery and spirit to overcome difficulties as they not only ensure sustainable development of their enterprises but also contribute to the prevention of the pandemic. Therefore, ABA 2020 has a special stature, in a special context that honors exceptionally excellent businesses across the region.”
The award, granted annually, is not only an opportunity for all businesses in the region to be honored for demonstrating their important position in the ASEAN economy; at the same time, it is also an opportunity for the global business community to better understand the solidarity and strength of ASEAN businesses, thereby promoting trade, investment, and economic integration.
