ASEAN - Japan Music Festival 2019 to be held in Hanoi on Jul 28
This is a special event to celebrate one of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s initiatives on “ASEAN – Japan Day”, which was agreed by the heads of the ASEAN states at the Japan-ASEAN Summit in 2018.
The ASEAN - Japan Music Festival 2019, the first of its kind in Vietnam, will take place at the National Convention Centre, Hanoi on July 28 aiming at inspiring the young generation to connect with each other and promote mutual understanding, thereby enhancing cooperation among countries in the future, Saigon giai phong reported.
This is a special event to celebrate one of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s initiatives on “ASEAN – Japan Day”, which was agreed by the heads of the ASEAN states at the Japan-ASEAN Summit in 2018.
The program themed “Prayer For Peace” co-organized by Japan Foundation Asia Centre and Vietnam Television (VTV) features a number of Vietnamese famous Pop singers such as Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dong Nhi, Trong Hieu; the top hit Japanese artists including Exile Atsushi, Koda Kumi, Miura Daichi, among others and singers from ASEAN countries such as Fakhrul Razi from Brunei, Indonesian singer Andien and Thailand’s NEW & JIEW group.
The event also welcomes the performance of Japan Special Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro, who has made positive contributions to bilateral ties over the past three decades, especially with his idea of co-producing art performances with the Arts Department of VTV.
