On the way to mark 50th anniversary of ASEAN on August 8, Japan Ministry of Foreign Affair released a video about Japan - ASEAN relationship.
Japan and ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations), which consists of ten Southeast Asian nations including Vietnam, have built a cooperative partnership for peace and stability, as well as development and prosperity in the region for more than 30 years.
Japan and ASEAN also have built close relations as business partners. Japan considers that a more closely integrated ASEAN functioning as a hub of regional cooperation is important for the stability and prosperity of Japan, ASEAN and all of East Asia.
