Doan Thi Hai Linh from Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh province was named winner of the 2014 Kinh Bac beauty pageant at the crowing ceremony on March 12.
Linh, who is a student of the College of Statistics, defeated 24 opponents to win the title.
The second and third runners up were Hoang My Linh from Hanoi and Tran Thanh Huyen from Bac Ninh province.
On the final night, the 25 finalists walked in several different outfits: Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), swim suit, prom dress and ‘tu than', a four-panel dress for Quan Ho (love duet singing), to select the top 5 who then entered the question and answer round.
The organising board also presented 12 sub-awards to other beauties, including the Miss Ao Dai, Miss Tu than, Miss Hospitality, Miss Talent and Most Votes Miss.
