California wine, Nebraska beef introduced to Vietnamese customers

Fresh beef from America’s heartland and wine from the world’s 4th largest wine producer are now available for Vietnamese customers even the choosy ones.

Vietnamese customers can taste more California wine and fresh Nebraska beef in Vietnam after they were introduced in Hanoi on April 20.

The United Tastes of Food and Wine Reception with the attendance of US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper helped people explore the best beef from America’s heartland – the US farm production hub – and wine from the world’s 4th leading wine producer.

The event is held in collaboration between the US Embassy, the California Milk Advisory Board, and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.

With introduction, true American tastes will reach Vietnamese customers in an effortless way instead of traveling thousands of miles to savor them as before.

California is home to 4,200 bonded wineries (excluding second tasting rooms and non-production bonded wine premises) which are mainly family-owned businesses and multi-generational facilities.

Meanwhile, beef production is the largest sector of agriculture in Nebraska, which ranks as one of the top three cattle-producing states in the US. In addition, the US is the world’s leading beef producer and most of the beef produced is consumed in the country.

United Tastes is a project supported by the United States Department of Agriculture with the mission to promote US food and beverages in Vietnam.
