Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day

An event is expected to draw nearly 3,500 people in meeting to mark the capital liberation.

The big meeting will be held at 8:30 am at the Hanoi-based National Convention Center, on October 10, and televised on VTV1 channel.
 
 
The information was released in a project of Hanoi city People’s Committee on the organization of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the capital liberation to submit the Prime Minister for approval. 
Accordingly,  to highlight event, meeting representatives of policy families, visiting and presenting gifts to policy families, meeting soldiers and young volunteers who directly participated in the struggle against French colonial, paying homage to President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, Bac Son war martyrs’ monument and Mai Dich national cemetery, and offering flowers at a statute at Hang Dau street will be held.
Besides, an exhibition on the capital’s development during the past 60 years, a book fair themed “Book Street”, a workshop on the 60th anniversary of the capital liberation, the 2014 Festival for Traditional Handicraft Villages, as well as the Hanoi Cuisine Festival will also take place on this occasion. 
Fifteen-minute fireworks will be displayed in the evening of the same day.
