Chatbot Da Nang FanstatiCity - one application providing information about Da Nang for tourists
Chatbot Da Nang FanstatiCity is an all-in-one application providing tourists to the central coastal city of Da Nang with full travel information, local weather and road directions for free.

Accessing the application simply involves Messenger Code scanning or visiting m.me/visit Da Nang. Chatbot can communicate in English to help foreign visitors overcome language barriers.
The application helps ease workload at Da Nang’s tourist centers and serves as a helpful channel for visitors to the city during the APEC 2017 High-level Week. With chatbot launch, Da Nang joins Singapore as the two first cities in Southeast Asia to use chatbots.
The chatbot is an artificial intelligence technology that allows a computer to communicate with people. Receiving users’ requests through texting or speech, chatbot will automatically and quickly respond the right answer.
In the context of strong fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) as well as insufficiency of tourism workforce, chatbot will serve as a smart tool for local tourism.
Da Nang has grown in stature as an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. Last year, 5.6 million visitors, including 1.66 million foreigners, spent their holiday in the city. The figure is expected to increase in 2017 and following years.
In addition, the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week officially kicked off in the central coastal city of Da Nang, on the morning of November 6, with the opening of the APEC Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM).
Welcoming delegates to the CSOM, which is being held on November 6-7, Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, who is also APEC 2017 SOM Chair, stressed that although this year presented both difficulties and opportunities to APEC cooperation, APEC economies have managed to secure many important results, such as maintaining the momentum of cooperation and reaching agreements in a wide range of issues to boost this year’s priorities and support other APEC ongoing works. “We have greatly benefited from the active engagement and contributions of all member economies and other stakeholders to advance this APEC process in our designed direction,” he added.
The week is being attended by about 10,000 delegates from the 21 APEC member economies and is expected to welcome keynote speeches by the US President Donald Trump, Chinese Party General Secretary and State President Xi Jinping, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
