Da Lat to host women’s professional golf tournament

The inaugural Dalat at 1200 Ladies Golf Championship, which will feature 108 golfers in the Asia-Pacific region, will take place in the resort town of Da Lat from March 25 to 27, organizers said recently.

The female golfers from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and Vietnam, including famed ones such as Ahn Shin Ae, Lee Jung Min, Ko Jin Young, Yoon Chae Young and Nguyen Thao My, will compete for the US$420,000 prize, the organizers said.

“We are really looking forward to the attention this tournament will bring to Lam Dong Province,” a representative of the provincial People’s Committee said in a statement. Da Lat belongs to Lam Dong Province.
