Hanoi’s Traditional Craft Village, Street Food and Tourism Festival attracts 30,000 visitors
The festival seeks to boost tourism in Hanoi while showcasing the Vietnamese capital as a welcoming, safe and cultural destination.
THE HANOI TIMES — The 2025 Hanoi Traditional Craft Village, Street Food and Tourism Festival attracted around 30,000 visitors, including a large number of international tourists, before concluding in the capital this week.

Held at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space on Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street, the festival was organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and featured around 100 booths showcasing traditional crafts, local cuisine and tourism products.
Visitors had the opportunity to take part in hands-on craft experiences, interact with artisans, sample iconic Hanoi dishes and enjoy a series of culinary and artistic performances.
One of the festival’s highlights, themed “Enduring flavors of the past,” showcased the essence of Hanoi’s culinary heritage, allowing locals and tourists to experience specialties such as Tay Ho lotus tea, Vong young sticky rice, Phu Thuong sticky rice, Thanh Tri rice rolls, Uoc Le pork sausage, Phung spring rolls, Hoang Mai sticky rice cakes and Trang Tien ice cream.
The event also featured a Hanoi tourism promotion space titled “Strolling in Hanoi,” where models of the capital’s iconic landmarks were displayed, including the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Long Bien Bridge, Hoan Kiem Lake and Turtle Tower, Ngoc Son Temple and The Huc Bridge, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Co Loa Ancient Citadel and the Hanoi Opera House.
Visitors were able to check in, take photos and explore tour packages, stimulus programs and new tourism products introduced by reputable travel agencies.

This year's festival attracts the participation of 10 typical craft villages and streets, nearly 30 artisans and skilled craftsmen, along with representatives from tourism businesses, food establishments, accommodation facilities, and tourist destinations in the capital.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Nguyen Tran Quang, stated that the Hanoi Traditional Craft Village, Street Food and Tourism Festival is not only a tourism promotion event but also a celebration of the cultural values of Hanoi's cuisine and traditional crafts.
“This contributes to spreading the image of Hanoi as a tourism destination rich in tradition, demonstrating how the tourism industry leverages cultural heritage in conjunction with tourism development, making culture a resource and driving force for growth,” he stated.
