In the framework of a working visit to Japan from August 24 - 30, the Hanoi’s high-level delegation led by Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc met with Mayor Hiroshi OGAWA and Chairman of Council Tadatoshi INOUE of Fukuoka Prefecture on August 25.
At the meeting, Chairwoman Ngoc affirmed that the friendly cooperation relations between Hanoi and Fukuoka have developed continuously and effectively in recent years.
The Chairwoman expressed her wish that the two cities will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields signed in the Memorandum of cooperation in the coming time.
Hanoi and Fukuoka will maintain exchanges to share their experiences in improving the capacity of financial systems and budget management, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, investment - trade - tourism, environment, culture and education, contributing to boost the friendly relations between the two localities, she added.
Chairwoman Ngoc also stressed that Hanoi will be ready to be a bridge helping Fukuoka’s businesses to invest in Vietnam.
Speaking at the meeting, Fukuoka’s Mayor Hiroshi OGAWA and Chairman Tadatoshi INOUE highly appreciated the Hanoi’s high-level visit, and confirming that Hanoi - Fukuoka partnership relation has developed significantly in fields of economy, culture and environment since 2008.
According to Mayor Hiroshi OGAWA, the organizing of "Hanoi Days in Fukuoka 2015" program will contribute to further strengthen relations between the two localities.
The Mayor hoped that Hanoi will continue facilitating the legal procedures, as well as the investment environment for Fukuoka’s enterpries to do business in the capital in the future.
On the occasion, the "Hanoi Days in Fukuoka 2015" program was held at the Kyushu National Museum.
The program includes various diverse cultural activities such as performances of traditional ethnic art, puppet, photo exhibition on Hanoi’s development, as well as a seminar on investment, trade and tourism promotion.
The program will be an opportunity for Fukuoka’s people to feel the cultural colors of Hanoi.
