Rubber exports reach US$3 billion in Jan-Nov
Vietnam reaped nearly $3 billion from exporting 1.8 million tons of rubber in the first 11 months of 2024, up 17% in value and down 6% in volume. During the period, China accounted for 67.6% of the total exports, followed by India (7.7%), the EU (6%), and South Korea (2.5%).
Danang Hi-tech Park attracts over $1 billion investment
The Danang Hi-tech Park has so far attracted 30 FDI projects costing a total investment of more than $1 billion, accounting for 45.5% of Danang's FDI. South Korea's Dentium Group became the largest investor in the park after adding its third project, a US$177 million ICT Vina III factory to produce high-tech dental equipment.
Artists promote ethnic minority heritage in Kon Tum
The 5th Kon Tum Provincial Culture and Tourism Week marked the participation of 1,000 artists and visitors from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The main events include traditional gong performances, cultural showcases, street carnivals, and tourism promotion. The festival, which runs through December 14, aims to preserve the heritage of ethnic minorities, boost tourism, and foster ties between Vietnam and Laos while highlighting Kon Tum's potential.
Con Dao history highlighted in 3D exhibition
The online 3D exhibition "Con Dao: Epic Amidst the Waves" showcases the history of the island district from ancient times to the present. Available in both Vietnamese and English, it features more than 300 artifacts, images and documents. Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024), the exhibition highlights the island's historical development, notorious prisons, and transformation into a tourist haven. Whale worship festival declared national cultural heritage
The Van Dam Xuong Ly Whale Worship Festival in Nhon Ly Commune, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, has been declared a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. With over 200 years of history, this annual festival reflects the spiritual and cultural identity of coastal fishing communities, with traditional rituals, Ba Trao singing and Bai Choi performances.
