The competition aimed at introducing the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes, traditional culture, and people to international friends.
After two months, the contest received over 4,200 entries from more than 960 authors from in and outside the country.
The photo exhibition themed “Discover Vietnam” displays 100 best photographs selected from the contest.
At the exhibition, the organising board awarded one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and five consolation prizes.
The first prize belonged to “Kham pha de bao ve ran san ho" (Discover to protect coral reef) by Pham Van Thanh from the central coastal province of Binh Thuan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the department Vi Kien Thanh said that the awarded works embrace the contest's theme and express the country's unique beauty of life, people, traditions, landscapes and cuisine, contributing to introduce and promote Vietnam tourism to international tourists.
The photo show last through January 13 at No. 29 Hang Bai Street.
