Diverse cultural activities to honour Trang An landscape complex
From January 22nd to 24th, the northern province of Ninh Binh is organizing diverse activities in Ninh Binh city, Gia Vien and Hoa Lu districts to honour the Trang An landscape complex.
The highlight activity is the certificate receiving ceremony for Trang An as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, which is scheduled to start at 8p.m on January 23rd at Conference Centre of Bai Dinh pagoda in Gia Vien district. The special art program titled “Trang An – Love song of mountains and rivers” that sketches vividly the story of Trang An – a unique heritage site not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia, will open the ceremony.
On this occasion, many specific culture, sports and tourism activities will be held such as, an exhibition on world heritage in Vietnam; an art photo exhibition with the theme “Trang An Landscape Complex – World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site”; Ninh Binh handicraft and trade village fair 2015; an international seminar on management, conservation and promotion of world heritage values; the launch and display of a stamp collection on the complex; a presentation and promotion program of attractions and the tourism products and services in Ninh Binh and a survey program of the complex.
Specifically, hundreds of books, 50 articles, 20,000 leaflets and other documents on the complex are on display at the exhibition which opened at Ninh Binh provincial museum. The event is being held by the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee and its Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to director of Ninh Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Quang Nghia, many other cultural activities will be held during these days in districts, towns and Ninh Binh city to popularize provincial tourism.
