Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh on December 17 separately welcomed First Vice Governor of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of People’s Government Tang Renjian
Deputy PM Minh hailed the positive developments in the cooperation between Vietnamese localities and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.
The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China hopes to beef up practical cooperation with Vietnam across sectors, a local official has said. Local authorities and people attach great importance to consolidating the traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities, especially when it comes to infrastructure connectivity projects, he said.
Deputy PM Minh extolled the positive developments in the bilateral cooperation and proposed the Chinese province continue to work alongside Vietnam to realise common perceptions reached by leaders of the two countries, while promoting affiliation in economics, trade, investment, transport, agriculture, and tourism.
He said he expects the two sides would implement effectively Vietnam-China land border documents as well as finalise all necessary procedures to open and upgrade border gates facilitating the transportation of goods and passengers, and build a shared borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development.
The host leader proposed Guangxi work closely with Vietnamese ministries, agencies, and localities to promote practical cooperation especially in such areas as economics, trade, investment, transport, agriculture and tourism.
The Deputy PM also suggested the two sides effectively implement three Viet Nam-China land border documents and complete necessary measures to early open and upgrade border gates which facilitate the transportation of goods and passengers and together build a shared borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development.
For his part, Mr. Tang Renjian emphasized that the administration and people in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region always respect for and hope to strengthen linkages with Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities. They also wanted to boost infrastructure connectivity projects among Vietnamese localities and Guangxi efficiently.
The same day, Deputy PM Minh welcomed the new Sri Lankan Ambassador to Viet Nam in which he extoled the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two sides, particularly in politics, economics, trade, agriculture, tourism, and international cooperation.
The host leader highlighted Viet Nam’s consistent policy which attaches importance to traditional ties with Sri Lanka, hoping that the two countries would shake hands tighly to serve regional and global stability, peace, and prosperity.For her part, Ambassador Saranya Dissanayake pledged to spare no effort to nurture the bilateral ties in the coming time.
