The EU remains the largest importer of Viet Nam with US$24.33 billion in goods attained in 2013, expanding by 19.8% and accounting for 18% of the country`s export turnover.
Largest EU importers of Viet Nam included Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Italia, France, Spain, Austria and Belgium reached US$11.13 billion, accounting for 87.2%.
Viet Nam’s import from the EU in 2013 attained US$9.45 billion, up 7.5%.
The nation mainly bought machines, equipment and spare parts with US$2.29 billion, up 11.7%, vehicles US$1.17 billion, medicine US$930 million, computers and electronics US$928 million from the EU.
