The European Union Delegation to Vietnam held a press conference in Hanoi on May 4 to reveal the Europe Days 2016, which will be organised in Vietnam from May 9 - June 9.
The event, which is jointly chaired by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, the embassies of the EU member states and the European Cultural Institutes, aims to mark the Europe Day (May 9).
Addressing the press conference, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) Ambassador Bruno Angelet highlighted that relationship between Vietnam and the EU has gained significant achievements in all areas, including politics, economics, and cultural exchange.
The 6th Europe Days 2016 is expected to make a chance to review the results achieved in the past time, and set forth measures with a view to further boosting bilateral relations.
The highlights are the Europe Days concert with the theme “Europe Meets Asia in Jazz”, the annual European Film Festival, the European Literature event, a high-level seminar on “Vietnam-EU Cooperation: Sharing Experiences of Facing Common Challenges - Green Growth and Sustainable Development”, the annual European Food Festival, and a five-day long online “Euro 2016 Quiz”.
The Europe Days 2016 will also include an array of activities, such as music, movies, sports, food, science and creative arts that will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and HCM City.
