The exhibition is expected to contribute to the promotion of cultural and arts exchange, as well as mutual understanding between the two peoples. In recent years, Vietnam and South Korea have continually strengthened their friendly relations, especially in the field of culture and the arts.
Various art exchange exhibitions as well as workshops on exchanging art academies are held in Hanoi (Vietnam), and Seoul and Busan (South Korea), according to Pham Kim Binh, Chairman of the Hanoi Fine Arts Association.
Last year, a world cultural festival was held in Ho Chi Minh City–Gyeongju 2017 to celebrate the 25th founding anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea. With the theme “Mutual Prosperity in Asia through Cultural Exchange”, many activities took place during the 23-day festival in various venues, such as Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Arts, Ben Thanh Theater, Hoa Binh Theater and Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, many activities such as traditional Korean/Vietnamese martial arts, art exchange exhibition, Korean/Vietnamese film festival, culture street bazaar, K-Culture promotion pavilion were also introduced to city residents and foreign tourists.
