Exhibition launched for 20th anniversary of Vietnam-US relations

A photo contest and exhibition was launched in Hanoi on October 15 towards the 20th anniversary of the normalisation of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations (July 12, 1995-July 12, 2015).

At the launch ceremony, President of the Vietnam-US Association Nguyen Tam Chien said this is part of activities to mark the event which contributes to enhancing mutual understanding and exchanges between the two peoples.

It showcases best photographic works on Vietnam-US relations and the American country. The photos taken by Vietnamese photographers cover the fields of politics, diplomacy, economics, society, cultural identity, lifestyle and landscape.

Cultural Counsellor of the US Embassy in Hanoi, Michael Turner expressed his belief in fine development of bilateral relations, adding that 2015 will witness a wide range of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

Winners of the contest will receive awards at a ceremony in Hanoi on July 3, 2015. The awarded photos and 100 others will be exhibited from July 3-14, 2015 in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and one US city.

All Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese residents abroad are eligible for joining the contest.
