According to the organizers, under the slogan “A United Stage,” the VIPCF aims to provide piano students of all ages and skill levels the chance to engage in international exchange and experience professional-level performance on stage. The four top candidates from the Open Call round will have the opportunity to perform in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (two candidates in each city). Additionally, these four finalists will be eligible for direct admission to the final round of VIPCF 2025.

The jury or the piano competition brings together world-renowned pianists, including renowned Argentine pianist Daniel Rivera; Johan Schmidt, one of Belgium’s famous pianists; Armen Babakhanian, an acclaimed Armenian pianist and the Head of the Piano Department at the Komitas Yerevan State Conservatory (Armenia); and Vietnamese professor, people's teacher Tran Thu Ha, among others.

To celebrate the debut of the Bösendorfer 280VC piano in Vietnam, which is sponsoring the Vietnam International Piano Competition & Festival (VIPCF), the VIPCF organizing committee, in collaboration with Maestoso, LA Music, and artist Luu Duc Anh, will present a special piano solo program titled “From Brightness to Greatness” in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

This will also be the inaugural piano recital within the framework of VIPCF 2025, scheduled for 8 P.M on Friday, November 22 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi.

In the program, Vietnamese artist Luu Duc Anh will perform iconic works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, including Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 10, KV. 330 in C Major, and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op. 57, “Appassionata” in F minor.

Additionally, the two winners of the open selection round will perform well-known works by Frédéric Chopin, including Nocturne, Mazurka, Valse, and Réminiscences de Norma, S.394.

Founded in 2017, Maestoso is a pioneering classical music organization in Vietnam, dedicated to bringing the finest global artistic influences to the country. With a deep passion for contributing to the development of Vietnamese music, it strives to enrich the nation's classical music scene through its expertise and commitment.
