On October 4th, the exhibition on economic, cultural, social achievements of Hanoi during 60 years of construction and development was held at Museum of Hanoi.
City Party, People's Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front hosted the exhibition on economic, cultural, social achievements of Hanoi during 60 years of construction and development.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang; City Chairman Nguyen The Thao, Chairman Ngo Thi Doan Thanh City Council and representatives of the ministries, departments and central associations; leaders of some provinces and cities in the country and representatives of embassies in Hanoi.
Speaking at the exhibition, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen The Thao said the exhibition on economic - cultural – social achievements of the capital during 60 years of construction and development is really a special activity, not only introducing and promoting the achievements of the capital but also reminding party, government, military and civilians of paying their gratitude to the previous generations.
The exhibition is also a bridge between the generations who have gone through two wars against colonialism, imperialism and today's young generation, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the value of precious land Thang Long - Ha Noi thousand years of civilization.
Exhibition is held on the total area of 4.000m2, introducing the development process of the capital in three periods: 1954 to 1975; 1975 - 1986 and 1986 - 2014, highlighting overview of Hanoi over 60 years of construction and development. The exhibition is divided into economic zone, cultural attractions, security and defense; Father front's activities zone (Labor Federation, the Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, Veteran). In addition, there are also local galleries of the northern localities such as Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam. The exhibition display artifacts, products, images from the past to the present.
