The painting exhibition "Spring Peach Flowers 2" by painter Nguyen Huu Khoa was kicked off at the Exhibition Centre of Fine Arts and Photography in Hanoi on January 3.

The exhibition, themed ‘Spring portrait’ features 70 paintings of peach blossom, expressing multiple perspectives on a typical spring flower of the North. Most of them were finished in 2016 by oil paint, acrylic, and pastel.
“When researching and drawing peach blossom, I notice that each of the tree has hundreds, thousands of flowers which look the same at a glance but actually have unique shapes, features as human faces if look closer”, says Khoa.
Born in Phu Thuong, Tay Ho district (Hanoi) – a traditional peach blossom village in the capital, Nguyen Huu Khoa was known as Com, Khoai, NHK,… Following some individual painting exhibition themed on cartoon portraits of artists and celebrities, in recent years, he focuses on painting peach blossom which is close to his childhood.
The exhibition offers free admission from January 3-8 at Hanoi’s Exhibition Center for Fine Arts and Photography 29 Hang Bai, Hanoi
