Expert recommends ways to curb coronavirus spread in Hanoi's outbreak

One of the most important solutions to control the outbreak in Ha Loi is to "ensure people’s understanding of the prevention work" in the region under quarantine.

Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) Tran Nhu Duong has recommended some solutions to curb cross infection in Hanoi’s second largest Covid-19 outbreak, Kinhtedothi.vn reported.

Ha Loi village, located in Hanoi’s outlying district of Me Linh, has become the most complicated one in Vietnam, according to Dr. Tran Nhu Duong, who participated in controlling the Covid-19 epidemic in Son Loi commune (Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province). The commune became Vietnam’s first Covid-19 outbreak in February.

According to Dr. Duong, one of the most important solutions to control the outbreak in Ha Loi is to "ensure people’s understanding of the prevention work" in the region under quarantine.

“We are doing well, but need to persuade people to participate in the pandemic prevention and earn their consensus in fighting the pandemic together,” Duong stressed.

He explained that people should stay at home, and practice social distancing in line with the government’s regulations. Besides, people should collaborate with the health ministry to make information transparent.

For Hanoi’s second largest Covid-19 outbreak, detection and isolation are of utmost importance. The supervision teams must check people’s body temperature and health regularly because many Covid-19 patients show no symptoms.
