Thousands of people rejoice Hanoi International Light Festival 2025

Some 2,025 drones - the largest number of drones ever flown in such a performance - created a synchronized light show with laser effects, a symphonic score and renowned singers and performers on stage.

Dozens of thousands of Hanoi people were treated to a visual and musical feast on the evening of January 18 at Hanoi's West Lake, where the Hanoi International Light Festival 2025 kicked off with the "Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2025" program. The 2,025 drones painted patterns in the sky symbolizing Hanoi's history and heritage.

The most spectacular feature of the program is the artistic light show with 2025 drones painting symbols in the sky to orchestral music.

According to Dang Le Minh Tri, chief director of the light show,  the light concert is an unprecedented symphony of light and music on the largest scale ever, promising a gratifying performance in the skies of Hanoi under the theme "Shine Your Vibes".

Unique images and stories about the thousand-year-old history and cultural heritage of the capital city were told during the 120-minute event.

The program is divided into two parts. Part 1 "Color of Time" includes musical works that have long left an impression on audiences about Hanoi, with its melodies that have long formed the identity with the beloved capital, mixed with folk music tweaked with contemporary melodies. Part 2 "Colors of the Era" includes vibrant, modern songs and impressive, creative light shows. Photo courtesy of the organizer
