On display at approximately 85 stalls are OCOP products, farm produce, and handicrafts from 14 provinces and cities such as Hanoi (My Duc District), Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Danang, and Lam Dong.
Participating businesses have been able to connect, associate, and cooperate with exporters and raw materials suppliers and build tours to the special national relic site and landscape complex, Huong Son - the Huong Pagoda.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event on November 11 in My Duc District, Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA), said the event is expected to contribute to enhancing brand value, preserving traditional craft villages, diversifying OCOP products in association with local tourism, as well as promoting agricultural development and building the new countryside.
Visitors to the festival can experience traditional art performances and folk games such as cheraw dance, painting, and cultural exchange among ethnic groups and making OCOP products themselves on site.
Earlier, a series of festivals promoting OCOP and agricultural products associated with Hanoi’s tourism was held in the Ba Vi, Chuong My, and Phu Xuyen districts of Hanoi. The activities are expected to enhance trade linkage between the city and provinces and cities across the country in the consumption of agricultural products.
The city will strengthen trade links between Hanoi and provinces and cities across the country by holding more trade promotion festivals.
The activities aim to realize the city’s Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Program in 2022 and the Plan on Developing Agriculture and Rural Tourism in association with new-style rural area development in the city in the 2022-2025 period.
