The first double-decker bus named Hop on-Hop off officially goes into operation today, offering its passengers a tour to 30 famous destinations of Hanoi city.
The City Tour bus can carry 80 passengers and meets the European emission standards (Euro 4). The bus’s low floor system are convenient for the elderly, children and disabled to get on and off.
There are also free wifi, USB chargers and fridges on the bus. Passengers can choose to listen to music or history which is available in several languages while being on the bus.
The first bus will go to 25 streets, 13 stops and 30 destinations in Hanoi. Tourists can easily schedule and explore Hanoi in their own ways. Equipped with the global GPS system, the bus will run every 30 minutes, from 9 am to 6.10 pm daily.
In his opening remark, Nguyen The Hung, Hanoi Vice Mayor said, the Hanoi City Tour Hop on-Hop off is a convenient service, helping tourists travel and visit well-known destinations in the city on the double-decker buses. “The sight-seeing tour offered by the double decker bus aims to lure more travellers to Hanoi, develop a high quality tourism product, attaching to Hanoi tourism brand,” he pressed. The Hanoi official also direct Transerco to partner with related agencies to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the bus.
