Hot-air balloon rides have been launched in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province creating a chance for tourists to admire the stunning beauty of the coastal port city from above.
From hot-air balloons, visitors can watch desserts, lakes, ponds, rivers, paddy fields, villages, the sea, forests and crowded urban areas.
Phan Thiet is ideal for riding a hot-air balloon, says pilot Arturas. Pictured is a fleet of fishing vessels on Ca Ty River viewed from a height of 300m. It costs VND7 million for each ride.
Visitors can depart from Nguyen Tat Thanh Square and view the whole city at sunrise. Phan Thiet streets in early morning from a height of 300m. The second start point is from Hoa Thang petrol station in Hoang Lam village. The hot-air balloon will fly over Bau Ong and Bau Ba lakes, Bau Trang white sand dune and lands at Doi Cat Trang white sand dune.

The north central province of Quang Binh was permitted Oxalis Company to extend implementation time of the most expensive tour in Vietnam to explore the world largest cave Son Doong in 2016. Five day and four night tour will continue to be priced at US$3,000 a person. Each tour will have a maximum of 10 visitors, totaling a maximum of 500 tourists for the whole year.
The company said it would open Son Doong tour 2016 for sale to local and foreign tourists in the first week of August on its website.
Visitors must pass a health test before attending the adventure tour. If not abiding safety and environmental protection regulations, cave experts and tour guides will be entitled to ask them to stop the itinerary.
Son Doong cave is twice as large as Deer Cave in Malaysia with more than 200 meters wide, 150 meters high, and approximately 9 kilometers long. Morever, its caverns are big enough to fit an entire city street inside them. It is considered the largest cave in the world.
The cave was created 2 - 5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain. Where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights…
