FPT opens Israel office, deepening global technology expansion and strategic innovation ties

FPT Group continues its international expansion with a new office in Tel Aviv, targeting collaboration in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and semiconductors.

Chairman of FPT Group Truong Gia Binh said Vietnam and Israel share strong similarities, particularly a development path built on education as a foundation that has helped small, once-impoverished nations emerge as science and technology leaders.

“Vietnam sees technology as its strategic growth driver, with priority areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and semiconductors,” Binh said.

FPT chose Israel to learn from its start-up ecosystem, technology education and strong culture of innovation.”

He said the cooperation between FPT and Israeli partners will help translate technology into real-life applications and contribute to sustainable development in Vietnam and other markets.

Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS under FPT Group, said FPT Israel will center on technology cooperation, research and development and project deployment in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data, semiconductors and other strategic fields.

He added that the new office will also create additional job opportunities for local technology professionals and support the growth of the regional innovation ecosystem.

Vietnam’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Israel Nguyen Ky Son, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer and representatives of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry noted strong potential for deeper cooperation between technology enterprises from the two countries, especially as the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement moves into broader implementation.

A highlight of the launch event was networking sessions between FPT Group and Israeli technology companies such as Enabley, CropX, Cyabra and CyberproAI, opening opportunities for joint product development, knowledge transfer and market expansion.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony held in Israel to inaugurate FPT Group's representative office in the Middle East country.

Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Authority of Information Technology Industry under the Ministry of Science and Technology, praised FPT Group’s pioneering role in advancing Politburo’s Resolution No. 57, which targets breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

“The establishment of FPT Israel carries special significance for the global journey of Vietnam’s digital technology enterprises in a new era,” Lich said.

He added that expanding into markets with world-leading scientific and technological capabilities demonstrates the intellectual strength and innovative capacity of Vietnamese enterprises, creating long-term value for society.

“FPT’s presence in Israel supports market expansion while connecting Vietnamese talent with global innovation ecosystems, generating new value for Vietnam,” Lich said.

Israel, widely known as the “Start-up Nation”, ranks among the world’s leading centers for technology and innovation, particularly in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and semiconductors.

Tel Aviv, often described as the Middle East’s technology capital, hosts one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems. Locating FPT Israel in the city gives the group direct access to this environment, strengthening its competitiveness and reinforcing the global position of Vietnam’s technology sector.
