On the occasion of celebrating the Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays, French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Noel Poirrer visited and congratulated Hanoi People`s Committee on February 4.

Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and the city’s leaders of departments and agencies attended a ceremony to receive Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirrer.
At the meeting, the French Ambassador sent the New Year’s best greetings and wishes of good health, success to Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung and all leaders of the city.
Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirrer also thanked for the attentions paid by the city’s leaders in helping him to complete his responsibility in Vietnam in the past years.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung expressed his thanks to the sentiments and good wishes of Ambassador Jean - Noel Poirrer for the individual and local government comrades and People.
During the reception, both Hanoi’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung and French Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirrer highlighted that Vietnam-France cooperation relationship has been developing very well.
Particularly, France’s bilateral projects in developing urban infrastructure and education - training have been underway in Hanoi, as the Mettro 3 (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station project, France’s Alexndre International School project.
The Hanoi’s leader and the French diplomat confirmed the need to accelerate these projects and assigned to relevant departments to enhance the coordination in implementing the above objectives.
Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirrer expressed his deep impression of the municipal socio-economic development in the recent times.
The Ambassador also believed Hanoi will continue to flourish and gain more remarkable achievements in the coming time, and hoping that the friendly relations between the two countries will grow stronger and reach more productive results for the mutual benefits.
